L.a. residents have long known the Lighthouse House, a luxury home in the Hollywood Hills that sits on the banks of the Los Angeles River.
In the 1960s, the house was owned by one of Hollywood’s wealthiest families, and the family was rumored to have spent the years after World War II hiding out in the mansion.
Today, it’s a shelter for the homeless.
In 2018, the building was taken over by the homeless, and a group called the LCA House Project is now seeking to restore the house.
We spoke to L. a. to find out more.
