Galway city wall tours, one of the most popular in Ireland, are set to open to the public for the first time this weekend.
The Galway wall tours are an immersive experience for families and visitors to see the city wall from all angles.
Visitors can walk around the city walls, climb the walls, watch the action unfold and discover more about the history and culture of Galway.
The tour includes walking the city gates, exploring the harbour, walking the main streets and taking in the sights and sounds.
The tours also feature the history of the city and the various locations where you can explore.
The event is being held in the same location as the World Heritage Site, the city’s famous medieval wall, and it is the first event of its kind to be held in Ireland.
The city wall is one of only five such sites in the world and it was first completed in 1661.
It is currently closed to visitors for the summer and visitors are urged to keep the walls open during the summer months.
